Meet Emily Buck – 2025 Crush Cancer Spokesperson
Emily is a courageous 8-year-old from Virginia Beach who was diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2023, a rare and aggressive type of blood cancer that affects the bone marrow. Her cancer journey has been a life-changing battle not only for her, but for her entire family and community.
Because of fundraisers like Crush Cancer and the research it supports, Emily was able to have a local care team from the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters provide her treatment, and she currently has one year of maintenance treatments left and is set to ring her bell in 2026.
Despite her challenging and continuing cancer journey, Emily has remained resilient and inspires everyone she meets. You can learn more about Emily and her cancer battle at the Crush Cancer event.
